Connection of Answering Machine /
Fax Machine to the DECTsys 2200.
The DECTsys
2200 Phone system comes with an auxilliary port for the connection
of an analogue telephone, answering machine or fax machine
for calls on LINE ONE only. If this auxilliary port is used
for an answering machine it will only answer incomming calls
on line 1. If the auxilliary port is used for an analogue
telephone then this phone will only ring when calls come in
on line 1 and once answered on the auxilliary port cannot
be transferred to other extensions on the system.
You may
want to consider the use of the Disty Box which can register
as a DECT extension on the system whicg will then enable the
connection of an analogue telephone device such as telephone,
fax or answering machine which will allow inbound and outbound
calls on either line.
